IRON MOUNTAIN, MI: Astrea and Dickinson Area Community Foundation partnered to announce that due to the COVID-19 impact on small businesses in both Michigan and Wisconsin, they will be running a campaign to raise money for small businesses in need.
“These are unprecedented times and we believe it’s important that we all ask ourselves, how we can help. As an internet service provider, the Astrea Small Business Relief Program, is an opportunity to give back to our business and residential customers by supporting the businesses that keep our communities running strong” stated Jodie Gilroy, Astrea Director of Marketing. “We sincerely hope this program helps provide some relief to businesses in our Astrea communities throughout Wisconsin and Michigan.”
How to Nominate a Small Business
Business owners and community members will have the opportunity to nominate a small business to be selected as a recipient of the Astrea Small Business Relief Program funds raised by Astrea, the Dickinson Area Community Foundation and their donors. The sign-up period for this program is limited and ends on July 28th. Where Will Funds Come from and How Will They Be Paid Out?
Astrea and the Dickinson Area Community Foundation will be partnering on a campaign to raise funds for the program. Astrea will match all donations up to $10,000. Donors who donate $75 or more will also receive a program T-Shirt as a thank you for their contributions. At the end of the campaign period on July 28th, winner selections will be made. Each small business selected will receive $1,000. The number of winners selected will be dependent on the amount of funds raised.
