Astrea partners with Dickinson Area Community Foundation to provide relief to small businesses impacted by COVID

IRON MOUNTAIN, MI: Astrea and Dickinson Area Community Foundation partnered to announce that they will be providing relief to 15 small businesses impacted by COVID-19 in both Michigan and Wisconsin through their Small Business Relief Program. 

 

“These are unprecedented times and we believe it’s important that we all ask ourselves how we can help. As an internet service provider, the Astrea Small Business Relief Program, is an opportunity to give back to our business and residential customers by supporting the businesses that keep our communities running strong” stated Katelyn Quinn, Astrea Brand & Community Manager. “We are ecstatic to be able to help provide some relief to businesses in our Astrea communities throughout Wisconsin and Michigan.” 

 

Businesses Selected as Recipients of Funds 

With the support of our donors of Astrea customers and employees, Dickinson Area Community Foundation supporters, and others in the communities we serve, we were able to raise $540. In addition, Astrea and parent company CCI Systems, Inc. provided an additional $9,960 to go towards the nominated small businesses in need for a total of $10,500 raised. In total, 15 businesses who were nominated were selected to receive the funds. The following businesses were selected as recipients: 

 

Michigan Recipients: 

  • Wildwood Restaurant & Truck Stop- Hermansville, MI
  • Rainbow’s End Alpacas- Norway, MI
  • North Winds Distillery, Norway, MI
  • 906 Quilting Services- Iron Mountain, MI
  • Family Ties Adult Center- Iron Mountain, MI
  • Earla’s- Marenisco, MI
  • Cutting Castle- Mio, MI

 

Wisconsin Recipients: 

  • FIKA Bakery & Coffee- Three Lakes, WI
  • Corner Scoop Creamery- Coleman, WI
  • OJ’s Midtown Restaurant- Gillett, WI
  • Bayer Furniture- Suring, WI
  • The Penguin Again- Oconto Falls, WI
  • MK Photography- Oconto Falls, WI
  • Studio 211- Marshfield, WI
  • New Direction Driving School- Lomira, WI
