Astrea Launches Internet Assistance Programs in Light of COVID-19

60 days of free high-speed internet for eligible K-12 and college student households in response to recent school closures.

Iron Mountain, MI: On March 17th Astrea announced that due to the COVID-19 impact on school closures in both Michigan and Wisconsin, and the increased need for online access to fill the education access gap, they will be offering free high-speed cable internet broadband access for new K-12 & college student income eligible households for 60 days.

The sign-up period for this program is limited and ends on March 31st. For a complete explanation of program details, eligibility requirements and to access the application, families are encouraged to visit go.astreaconnect.com/en/covid-19_assistance prior the end of the month.

As remote working also increases, any current Astrea customer that needs to move to a higher speed tier due to increase internet usage or connected devices in their home, upgrade fees will be waived until May 29th. Furthermore, for new customers that sign up for services by May 29th, Astrea is waiving all installation charges.
